Event Description:
The Iron Mountain 100K is a back-country endurance mountain bike event which takes place in the Mount Rogers
National Recreation Area. The race course will have you rolling on singletrack, doubletrack, and fireroads. The course map will give you a good idea of locations of all aid stations, roadways, etc...

Race Info:

Saturday check in - 7-9 PM at tent camping area adjacent to Old Mill Inn on Imboden Street
Sunday check in 7-7:30 AM at Start Finish Pavilion on South Beaver Dam Avenue

Event STARTS - 8:00 AM Sunday morning!!

Entry fee includes post race meal with beverages, 1 night camping, fully stocked aid stations on course. $250 Cash to Top male and female. Second place will receive SM100 Entry for 2015 and Third place will receive Iron Mtn Entry for 2016. Racing classes: Men and Women Open, Singlespeed, Masters 50+ and Clydesdale. Competitor coolmax t-shirt will be given to all who register in advance.

We have a drop system organized where you can arrange to have supplies (lights, gear, food, etc.) left at the aid stations. They must be labeled well and can be dropped off day of race by 7:00 AM. You will be able to pick them up after the race. If you are unable to pick up your supplies we can mail them back to you for $10.

You are allowed two - 1 gallon ziplocks bags to be used as drop bags that we will provide. That includes your lights!!!! If the ziplock cannot seal closed we will not send it onto the aid stations. No camelbak drops allowed unless it fits in one closed gallon ziplock bag. Your bags will be numbered by event staff. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or missing drop bags.

A little about the area of Damascus. They call Damascus "Trail Town" because the Appalachian Trail and the Creeper Trail pass right through the historic downtown. Damascus is the southermost point on the Virginia
